Joseph Butore a annoncé cette suspension ce matin au cours de travaux communautaires sur le parking du marché de Rugombo (province de Cibitooke à l'ouest du pays).
 
Il a adressé une mise en garde aux agents de la police et de l'administration qui autoriseraient l'exportation des produits. "Ils auront des problèmes", a-t-il prévenu.    "On ne peut pas donner ce que nous avons cultivé au Rwanda car il veut nous combattre. Il faut vendre ce que vous avez cultivé aux autres provinces du pays", a déclaré M. Butore devant des habitants réunis sur le marché local.
 
Cette annonce a aussitôt suscité la grogne chez les commerçants qui exportent des marchandises vers le Rwanda et en importent. Des rwandais et burundais rencontrés par SOS Medias Burundi disent ne pas savoir comment ils vont faire pour écouler leur production.
